I graduated from Texas High School in 1979.
I attended Lamar University in Beaumont, TX immediately after high school.
I returned to Texarkana and attended Texarkana Community College and Texas A & M University - Texarkana.
I have an Associates Degree in Professional Studies from Texarkana Community College.
I received a BAAS (Batchelors of Applied Arts and Sciences) in Liberal Arts from Texas A & M University - Texarkana.
I received my Master's Degree in Education from Texas A & M University - Texarkana.
I have attended numerous professional development courses, conferences and workshops to better assist my students.
This is my third year to teach English at Liberty-Eylau High School. I currently teach Juniors and Seniors.
I began my career in education in the fall of 1990 at Nash Elementary School as a Teacher's Aide . I transfered to Texas High School in 1997 as Administrative Assistant for the Assistant Principals. I remained at TISD for 23 years before moving to Liberty-Eylau and fulfilling my desire to teach.
I am a mother of three amazing children - Mystee, Krystofer and Maddilyn.
They have each given me amazing grandchildren - Mystee: Aidyn, Presley, Stormee and Krockett. Krystofer: Aurora and Delilah. Maddilyn: Kohen, Aiyla and Hazyl.
Aidyn attends Texas Middle School. Presley, Stormee and Krockett attend Spring Lake Park Elementary. Aurora attends Walnut Church Pre-K. Kohen and Aiyla attend Martha and Josh Morris Elementary. Delilah and Hazyl stay at home with their mommies.
I have two cats - Lucy (16) and Phoebee (11) and one dog - Sophia (9).
I love to attend anything my children and grand-children participate in. Currently, four play soccer Aidyn, Presley, Kohen and Aiyla, four play baseball / t-ball Aidyn, Kohen, Krockett and Aiyla, three play basketball Aidyn, Presley and Kohen.
I enjoy sewing! I try to sew as often as possible. I really like to re-make items for the grand-kids.
