My Dad was in the U.S. Navy, so as a child, we moved around a lot. When he retired, we settled in New Boston, Texas where I graduated from New Boston High School. From there, I moved to Commerce, Texas and went to East Texas State University. I moved home after one year, but continued my higher education in Texarkana, Texas. I finally graduated from East Texas State University-Texarkana with a General Studies degree and an emphasis in Education and Sociology. I got my certification in Composite Social Studies 4 August 2007, where I have been employed with Liberty-Eylau ISD since 2000. I earned my position by being a long-term substitute, certified instructional aide, and finally a CERTIFIED TEACHER. I feel God has placed me here for my benefit as well as my students.
I have a high school diploma from New Boston High School. I have an undergraduate degree from East Texas State University-Texarkana, with an emphasis in Education and Sociology. I earned a difficiency from Texas A&M-Texarkana in Composite Social Studies, which I am certified to teach grades 8 through 12.

I began my career with Liberty-Eylau ISD as a long-term substitute at the Middle School teaching 8th grade U.S. History. I moved to the high school the following year, again, as a long term substitute teaching MATH and Family Consumer Science classes. I was then moved into the position of Certified Instructional Aide shadowing students who needed extra help in the classroom. I also worked with inclusion as part of the Special Education Department; also working in the DAEP Program, helping students get their behavior and grades appropriate for the regular classroom. I finally made it to a classroom at the School of Success Campus in the fall of 2008 and later moved to Liberty-Eylau High School teaching 9th Grade World Geography. Because of my training, I have been given the honor and priviledge of the Social Studies Endorsement; which consist of three years of classes that include Principles of Government and Public Administration, Political Science I, and Political Science II. I am excited to be here and am expectant of having a GREAT year!
